How do I request deletion of my data from Social Surge?
Email hello@social-surge.co.uk with the subject "Data Deletion Request", stating the name, email address or phone number the data relates to. Social Surge DM LTD will verify your identity, delete your personal data from its systems, and confirm completion within 30 days.
Under Article 17 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of personal data that Social Surge DM LTD holds about you. This applies to data collected through our website forms, email correspondence, analytics identifiers and marketing systems.
In limited circumstances we may need to retain some data despite a deletion request, for example, invoicing and business records we are legally required to keep for tax purposes, or data needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where an exception applies, we will explain what is retained and why.
If your data was collected by an advertising platform (such as Google or Meta) rather than by us, for example through their cookies or ad interactions, deletion of that data is controlled by the platform. We will point you to the relevant platform tools where applicable. Details of how we handle data generally are in our privacy policy.
If you are unhappy with how we handle a deletion request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
